JEFFERSON COUNTY
October 17, 2023
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The reconstruction of the CTH D Bridge over the Bark River will be discussed at a public involvement
meeting scheduled by Jefferson County, Wisconsin.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hebron
Community Center located at N2313 CTH D, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538. The meeting will also have a
link available on both the Town of Hebron and Jefferson County websites to attend virtually. Residents
and heavy route users are encouraged to attend via whichever format works best for them.

Jefferson County will replace the existing CTH D bridge with a new four-span concrete haunched slab
bridge in Section 15, T5N, R15E. The roadway approaches will be reconstructed. Work will consist of
bridge removal, grading, concrete masonry, crushed aggregate base course, asphalt pavement,
guardrail, erosion control items, and landscaping items.

During construction, CTH D will be closed at the bridge. Work is scheduled to take place in the summer
of 2025.

The purpose of the meeting is to present the preliminary plans for the bridge construction project,
discuss the proposed schedule, and gather public input. Any comments that may be of interest to the
design team are welcome.

The meeting will be organized in an open-house format and interested persons are invited to attend at
their convenience. There will be a presentation at the onset to provide an overview of the project
followed by questions. Representatives from Jefferson County and Ayres will be available to discuss
the design details, address comments, and answer questions. Displays showing the proposed project
will be available for viewing.

Persons with a concern or knowledge about the floodplain, historic buildings and structures, public
lands, and archaeological sites are encouraged to attend this meeting or provide comments to Jefferson
County.
